Wreaths Across America: Honoring Our Heroes

Wreaths Across America (WAA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to honoring and remembering the sacrifices of U.S. veterans. Founded in 2007, WAA’s mission is to “Remember, Honor, and Teach.” Each December, on National Wreaths Across America Day, volunteers across the country lay wreaths on the graves of fallen soldiers at more than 4,225 locations, including Arlington National Cemetery.

The organization also runs educational programs throughout the year to teach younger generations about the value of freedom and the sacrifices made by veterans. The annual event is a powerful reminder of the bravery and dedication of those who have served in the armed forces.

JCI Florida Senate’s Support

The JCI Florida Senate actively supports Wreaths Across America. Each year, members of the JCI Florida Senate participate in wreath-laying ceremonies at various cemeteries across Florida. Our members engage in fundraising efforts to sponsor wreaths, ensuring that as many veterans as possible are honored.

By collaborating with WAA, the JCI Florida Senate helps to keep the memories of fallen heroes alive and educates the community about the importance of honoring those who have served. Their involvement exemplifies the spirit of service and commitment to community that both organizations uphold.
